MALTA DAY Saturday 8th September
A Malta Day Event is being developed under the auspices of the Malta High Commissioner Dr George Bonello Du Puis and other Maltese Organisations. The purpose of this event is to establish a Day in the United Kingdom that we can portray as our own. This will also serve as a platform for all that is Maltese and all that can further enhance our Culture and Identity. It will be open to everyone, that is: for Maltese Nationals and others. The event will be a Maltese Festa Style Celebration with brass band parade, Maltese fair, Mass at Westminster Cathedral, procession with the Statue (Vara) of the Bambina and a Maltese Extravaganza Gala Show in the evening.
To make this day a success and pride ourselves as Maltese Nationals we need your help: First make yourself available on this day, so that you can join in the celebrations. - Put it in your diary now! If you want to run a stand/stall at the Maltese Fair then get in touch with us. - There is limited space so dont delay! We would need volunteers to participate in the parade and other activities. We are still developing the Malta Day Logo and we will appreciate suggestions and contributions from graphic designers.
